CoreStreet hires former CA executive Chris Broderick as CEO

Company to Focus on Global Smart Credential and Security Convergence Initiatives

Cambridge, Mass. — June 27, 2006 — CoreStreet, a leader in providing software critical to major credential programs worldwide, today announced Chris Broderick as its new Chief Executive Officer. Broderick joins CoreStreet from CA (NYSE: CA), where he acted as senior vice president and general manager of the storage management business unit, a group that contributes nearly $500 million in annual revenues to the computing giant.

“Like never before, governments and private organizations are turning to smart cards, and other identity credentials, to provide security and privacy around daily activities. In many ways, CoreStreet's innovations make these large-scale deployments possible,” said Broderick. “It's with great excitement that I join this team. The industry is at an inflection point and CoreStreet is perfectly positioned for strong long-term growth.”

CoreStreet's software is critical to a number of smart credential programs around the world, including the U.S. Department of Defense Common Access Card. The technology is designed to support credential infrastructures and related applications, including certificate validation and access privilege checking. Additionally, CoreStreet products are compliant with the U.S. Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD) 12, which requires federal agencies and contractors to deploy a common credential for access to both physical and digital properties.

“This is a critical time for CoreStreet. We have always built our products around the belief that organizations should use smart credentials for all their security sensitive activities, from digitally signing email to physical access. The explosion in smart credential programs at home and abroad attests to the accuracy of our predictions,” said CoreStreet cofounder and President Phil Libin. “Chris' immense experience and strategic vision within the security space will allow us to capitalize on this growing momentum.”

Peter Hussey, CoreStreet's cofounder and former chief executive, will remain with the company, focusing on international business development.

Broderick joined CA in 1998 as a Divisional Vice President and has held several positions over the years, including as Senior Vice President and General Manager of technology services for North America. Broderick has a strong technology background, having started his career as a systems engineer and application developer for such organizations as Paragren Technologies and Wang Laboratories. Broderick holds a B.S. in both Aerospace Engineering and Mathematics with a specialization in encryption from the University of Maryland, and did his graduate work in Electrical Engineering at George Mason University.
