Press Release
CoreStreet and Rainbow Technologies Announce Joint Worldwide Reseller Agreement
Companies Providing Global 1000 Enterprises with FIPS-140-2 Compliant Security Hardware Products
San Francisco-RSA Conference (February 25, 2004)
CoreStreet, a leading provider of validation solutions for identity management and access control, and Rainbow Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNBO), a leading provider of digital content and transaction security for the Internet, and hardware security modules (HSMs), today announced an expanded worldwide reseller agreement that will enable the companies to resell an integrated hardware solution, comprising CoreStreet’s Real Time Credentials Validation Authority (RTC VA) and Rainbow’s Luna CA³ and Luna SA HSMs. These FIPS-140-2 compliant products are ideal for Global 1000 companies, the military, civilian government, financial services and healthcare companies.
The integrated solution that combines the RTC VA with the Luna CA³ and Luna SA HSMs, provides global enterprises with a tamper-resistant product for validating whether an individual has been granted access to mission-critical and highly sensitive data stored on computers, laptops and wireless devices. This includes multiple forms of digital communications, including digital signatures, email and instant messages. CoreStreet’s groundbreaking technology is standards based, scales to hundreds of millions of users and is significantly more cost-effective than comparable products on the market. The RTC VA reduces the traditional high costs of authorizing a digital certificate by eliminating the need to distribute the certificates on multiple insecure servers.
“The need for hardware solutions that can authorize an individual’s access rights to data and highly sensitive information has grown significantly, and as a result of requests from our customers we have made this integrated solution available globally,” according to Phil Libin, president of CoreStreet. “CoreStreet builds the world’s only massively scalable security validation products. As the security industry continues to evolve in the coming months and years, more and more highly sensitive and mission-critical information will be placed on the Internet and computer networks. We think this will result in an increase in demand for our integrated products.”
“Rainbow and CoreStreet offer the industry’s most secure and scalable hardware-secured validation solution to Global 1000 companies and Federal Government Agencies looking to ensure that mission-critical information remains viewable by only the individuals authorized to do so,” said Stephen Dow, vice president of sales, Rainbow eSecurity.
