CoreStreet Chairman and Chief Scientist Silvio Micali Named 2003 "Fellow" by the Academy of Arts And Sciences
BOSTON, Massachusetts (May 12, 2003)
CoreStreet, a leading provider of authorization and validation technology, today announced that Silvio Micali, PhD., the company's chairman and chief scientist has been elected by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences to its Class of 2003. As a result, Micali is bestowed the title of "Fellow" for his outstanding contributions in the field of Computer Sciences and the advancement of technology.
Micali, one of nine recipients in this year's Computer Sciences section, joins a prestigious list of previous honorees in Computer Sciences, including: Ron Rivest, Ph.D, a co-founder of RSA Security, and one of CoreStreet's Scientific Advisory Board members, Vincent Cerf, PhD, Internet pioneer, Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft Corporation and Steve Jobs, founder of Apple Computer.
Micali's election to the Academy's Class of 2003 comes on the heels of three of CoreStreet's Scientific Advisory Board members recently receiving awards for their contributions to the fields of mathematics and electronic security.
