BOSTON, Massachusetts (April 30, 2003)

CoreStreet, a leading provider of authorization and validation technology, today announced that three members of its Scientific Advisory Board were recently recognized for their contributions in the fields of mathematics and electronic security.

Ronald L. Rivest, PhD., a CoreStreet Scientific Advisory Board member, MIT professor and co-founder of RSA Security, Inc., recently received the A.M. Turing Award from the Association of Computing Machinery for his development work in public key cryptography. The two other co-founders of RSA Security, Adi Shamir and Leonard M. Adelman shared the award with Rivest. The award includes a $100,000 prize from Intel Corporation.

Mihire Bellare, PhD., a CoreStreet Scientific Advisory Board member and professor at the University of California-San Diego and Phillip Rogaway, PhD a CoreStreet Scientific Advisory Board member and professor at the University of California-Davis, were recently honored at the 12th Annual RSA Conference as recipients of the 6th Annual "Field of Mathematics Award," designed to recognize innovation and ongoing contribution in the field of cryptography. The RSA Conference recognized Bellare and Rogaway for their work in co-developing the "random oracle" model, used today as the primary paradigm for reasoning about the properties of cryptographic methods. A committee including members of the security industry, academic community and public sector selected Bellare and Rogaway as recipients.

"We are honored to have people of the caliber of Doctors Rivest, Rogaway and Bellare on our Scientific Advisory Board," said Silvio Micali, chairman and chief scientist of CoreStreet. "Their guidance and contributions to CoreStreet and the rest of the security industry have been outstanding and we look forward to continuing our path of innovation as CoreStreet establishes itself as the premium provider of authorization and validation software."
