CoreStreet FIPS-201 F5 Solution

Upgrade existing PACS systems to full HSPD-12 compliance with all functionality as defined in FIPS 201 and associated publications (e.g. SP 800-116, 800-73, 800-76)

The CoreStreet FIPS-201 F5 suite of products enables government agencies and commercial enterprises to upgrade their PACS system to allow for the verification of PIV cards, Department of Defense Common Access Cards (CAC), First Responder Authentication Credential (FRAC) cards and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) cards without requiring the replacement or significant modification of the existing system.

Special Publication 800-116, as published by NIST in November 2008, covers recommendations for the use of Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials in PACS. The publication notes most Federal buildings use proprietary PACS architectures causing a lack of interoperability, as well as challenges in the areas of scalability, security, validity and efficiency.

The CoreStreet FIPS-201 F5 solution verifies the cards at "Controlled", "Limited" and "Exclusion" assurance levels as defined in SP 800-116, supporting all the required authentication mechanisms and checking the card's revocation status.
